Anyone?

In honor of getting a job (not a real careerish, grown-up type job, mind you, but income is income right now), I have signed up for Netflix.  Hurray!  I love watching movies.  And having them delivered right to my door?  Yes, please!  But I still can’t get over how wide the selection is.  I could watch anything from the (sort of) latest blockbuster to some obscure French nouvelle vague film.  The sky’s the limit, and I honestly thought I would have filled my queue to bursting already. But as I sit here eating my accidental mashed potatoes (yes, you heard me), I’ve thrown up my hands numerous times over my inability to find more than a handful.  And, frankly, the walls are being splattered with potatoes in the process.  (Not really, Dad, don’t worry.  I’ve flung them at my car instead).
Now, I realize roughly three people read this nonsense I tend to write from time to time.  And I also realize the previous sentence wasn’t structured very well (not to mention this one right here).  Nonetheless, I was wondering if anyone out there had any suggestions.  Please bear in mind that I am an embarrassing wimp when it comes to horror movies.  It’s a medical condition, you see.  Blood, suspenseful music, and things popping out when I least expect them cause my bravery cells (are you buying this?) to shrink up and hide just behind my liver.  Yup.  It’s awful.
Just kidding.  It’s really just an interesting psychological phenomenon, not so much a medical condition.
Comedies I love, however.   And movies that make you think.  And classics (for the most part).   And romances (again, for the most part).  And action (should I say it again?).   And foreign movies.  And independent films.  And movies with beautiful, sweeping camera shots (think Pride & Prejudice, so pretty!) I’m just a big fan of cinema overall.
That’s probably why I’m looking so forward to my Religion in Film class.   It’s my attempt at recreating my favorite course taken to date, French Cinema.   We watched and examined part of A Beautiful Mind the other day.   It was awesome!   Our first full film will be the Truman Show.  That’s going to be really interesting, and I can’t wait for the discussion.
But I digress…
I’m asking for your help.  Please, tell me your favorite movie, a good one you’ve seen lately, one you were meaning to see but never got around to, one you overheard someone talking about the other day, one you were in, whatever you want!   I’d be so thankful for the suggestions.   End my empty-queue dilemma!   Oh, such problems…

You could save some money and watch movies online for free. Two good sources I’ve been using is:

    http://www.thecinemahub.com/
    http://www.watch-movies.net/

Both are based on streaming, so no need to worry about downloading any viruses or anything like that.

    Cheers,
